I used a piece of pvc bolted to my console on my old boat for a net holder and it worked like a charm, but I don't think that arrangement will work on the new boat I have on order.
What net holder do you use? Why? and how do you like it?

The other person in the boat. They usually aint catchin' fish anyway, might as well have em' doing something. I love it... Gives me someone else to blame if a fish gets off at the boat.
Good Idea but seems like I spend most days on the water by myself so that won't work in my boat either ;)

Do you fish from a raised front deck ? Bass boat style ? If so, what I usually do is just lean it up against the edge of the deck. Allows for quick and easy access and keeps it up off the floor. I don't spider rig though, if you're spider rigging that may not be as easy. For me, single pole jigging or casting, I treat it just like when I'm bass-fishing... One step to right or left and I can have a hand on it. I use a collapsable style net, so during transport or when the net isn't in use, I store it underneath. So, I don't actually have a "net holder", which is why I didn't have a more helpful answer in my original reply !! Ha !! Hope you find something that works for ya !! Or atleast a fishing partner that doubles as a good net-man !!

Imteresting set up. How is that stabilized to the deck?
It's not Ship, the seat post holds it upright, and will swing-around (on the seat post) to any position you want it. It just sets on the deck. I'd add a cap on the net (or umbrella) upright so it'd slide easier.
Sorry i did not check the thread anymore and did not realize y'all wanted pics. Thanks for putting something up neon, that is the same set-up i have, it is made of 1 1/2" sched. 40 pvc.
i either drop the dip net on the floor or back in the minnow bucket. Takes too much time to put it away when the fish are biting. :fish
Thanks for the pics.
Looks like that configuration would work for mounting an umbrella, as well !!
... cp :kewl
A sports Brella is hard to beat, in a post like this it will need to be tied dowm tho or the wind can get it. Have had mine for 2 seasons and it will let you stay on the water a lot longer during the summer months, not a bad thing to be under during the rain either.

Looks cool, but does the net interfere with your back cast when pitching jigs?
You could always use a sanitary wye at the bottom, and have a spot for umbrella and net handle both.
Crude drawing, but you get the idea. Naturally things will depend on the size of your net and umbrella.

I need to build a couple of these for one of my boats that I recently put the high back Tempress seats in for an umbella. I love love love these seats but there is nothing in the back of the seats to attach an umbrella holder to.
Anybody tried it with one cross bar instead of 2?
That's what I was afraid of. Thanks. :ThumbsUp
That's slick neon, I've got the net holder from Hi-tek stuff, works great as well.
