Last twisted chenilles
Well unless I can come up with some really cool mixs I'm gonna slow down on the twisted chenille ties for a while but here's the last 2 I did
First one is a two toned minnow head jig with twisted winter ice chenille, the second is a micro brown chenille on a 1/32nd ball head with a #10 hook

These look great too! I like it!
Are you wrapping the body with the same piece of twisted chenille?
-
No the tail is one piece, then you do it again just don't spin it as much as you don't want it to roll over itself, but you do want to make it long enough to finish the jig off.

I like the jigs so well I had to give it a shot this is the only one that I made and we will have to do some more fine tuning for myself I would like to incorporate other materials with this to see what we can come up with this one here is very small puppy party close to 1/80.

Look awesome Doug! Well thought out and executed. They both look awesome. Hope the catch on them is the same.
Glad the video helped.
Still fooling with mono for the look I want.
Heath seems to have it down really really good with seamlessness. His caterpillars are best I've seen.
Got paint pics for you soon.

Thanks gang.
Snake nice tie
Short don't feel bad it took me a while to get it
You aint' kiddin about Heath's, mine are okay but he's got the technique down pat and really smooth.
-
Those look good Fatman. I tried my first one today and it came out OK but I need some practice.
-
Thanks Skeet - it does take some practice - I got the tail down now I have to work on making it look seemless between the tail and body. These are really easy to tie but it sure do eat up the chenille!!!!!!!!!!!

can anybody post a video on how the jigs is made?
-
Here you go this is the tail part.

The top half do pretty much the same way but not past the point where it would fold over.

Sweet video. Never tied any jigs but I can see why they cost a lil more. Thanks for the video.

Those are so much fun to do. I love how you can dictate how fluffy they are and how they look for the final product. The possibilities are endless.

Fish - one thing you'll find is that you use alot of chenille when you do these - but even if you have alot of old solid colors you're all set! use one piece of two colors and when you twist them up two tone!!! and for all those semi-long pieces of hackle now you have a use for them.
