I'm in!
This might be wishful thinking depending on just how far the Corps lowers the lake to put water in the Mississippi. See post They opened it up.
Bow Hunter; make sure your shoulder is in good working order. You dont want to be layed up for the spawn.
nonono
Should be able to be released on March 6th, I start therapy the day after Christmas, so I should be good to go. I will take the pontoon boat again this year so I will be the driver.
any talk of puting in more pvc cover next spring pat?
If they do I hope they put a little more thought into where the place the PVC . In my opinion they placed it in way to deep of water. What do you all think ?
See ya Kevin ><)))*>
No word on the porcupine balls as of yet, but if they do, they need to put them together at least a day in advance so that they don't all fall apart this time. I did asked them last year if they was going to put any on the south end and they told me there was already to much natural stuff already there and now they are going to anyway. Go figure.
Iam in that was fun with you guys last year.
didn't get a chance to meet you last year slabdaddy, but i think i saw you there, will introduce myself this year. will definately bring my pole with me this year to catch sme fish when were done.
I'm in if my boat is finished
if its not I'll be on the bank crew
I missed last year truck trouble
Last year people was catching fish 2-3 hours after we dropped the trees in, isn't that right birdman. LOL
Guys - what anchoring technique works best for the Christmas trees?
I would like to participate this time. Is there a contact person or some sort of sign-up list?
AnyWeather, they always have it in the shelbyville paper and we always keep it posted on here.
tsherman, last year they tied 3-4 trees together and a cinder block on them.
hung out with Jerry & Birdy last year bowhunter we kind of give it to cory when the baby was going too get here.
I was talking to Cory last year, but mostly hung out with my son and bother then stayed on the boat when loading up the porcupine balls.
the weights aren't cinder blocks but round concrete that I believe is poored into cardboard containers with an eye bolt in them. Some will give an old man a hernia. I stick to hauling the trees. I let Birdman haul the weights--One in each hand. LOL
Leave the heavy stuff to us poor young folk! Haha. Yep pat- there was fishes being caught shortly after the completion of the drop!
Thats right XXL, I remember now, we used bricks for the porcupine balls.
9am at coon creek
I will be there, if you see an old fat gray haired guy say hi. Well that may have described a bunch of use on here LOL
