We went this afternoon and kept a limit of Crappie each plus some White Bass, Catfish, and Kentuckies. Released over another limit of Crappie. All on jigs, with Southern Pro Umbrellas and Meatgetter's why bother with live bait?:twocents My neighbor is hooked! Put the Catfish in his pond and still had a cooler full.:biggrin

Great catch Nimrod!!! If a I was to travel to arkansas this week to fish dardanelle where would be a good spot to go? I fished piney bay to flat rock in the spring and did okay. Not looking for your honey holes, just curious what area of lake to launch and try.
Nice mess of fish
You fishin the pits Nimrod? I fish Nimrod in the spring but I may have to try winter!
Understood. How about a depth recommendation? :)
Fishing has slowed lately for us on Dardanelle. Fishing has been best in about 25' close to the bottom. It last couple weeks I've caught Crappie several depths. We were doing good 8' to 16' depths for awhile. Was'nt long ago a warm afternoon I caught a limit flipping grass beds in about 4' water. You need to read your depthfinder and let it tell you where the fish are hanging on certain days. I've caught limits on a small spot in matter of minutes only to return next day to find them gone.
i will be up there in the morning with my MINNER CRITTERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PM me those spots. I won't tell anyone!!! ;-)
