My experience is yes, and yes.. Just for my own keeping it straight I always have my map card in the right slot.
Yes and make sure your map card is locked
many thanks and yes I always have the card locked unless I'm updating it.
You boys are confusin me. I dont know too much about this computer stuff, but I thought if a card was locked you couldnt record on it or read it? I remember puttin one ina lowrance to take pics and it said card locked.
oh wilbur:) on some HB units they have dual card slots. You can put in a reg sd card and a map card--that way when you mark a waypoint or record it will go on the reg sd card and still run the map card. You always want to have your map card locked or else you can mess it up if you save waypoints and stuff. all sd cards have a little switch on the left side of them--down is locked and up is unlocked.
OK....the right slot is the right slot
:ThumbsUp
Just looking at the 150 page manual that I printed out from the HB site and it shows you can program your unit to make either slot your map card slot. The right one is factory default for the map card it seems. hmmmmmmm
yep--and I think if you have it set on Auto it will find it--least I think that is the case but could be wrong.
anything for you Wilbur--glad I helped
The way I understand the chart slot settings...(someone correct me if I'm wrong)...
If using 1 map card and 1 blank card:
* "Auto" will find the map card
* choosing "Right" or "Left" will force the unit to look to that chosen card slot for map data to display
If using 2 map cards:
* "Auto" will use detail from both map cards
* choosing "Right" or "Left" will force the unit to look to that chosen card slot for map data to display
I have not tried 2 map cards at the same time to confirm this...

I agree... A little expensive for me too...
I could see this being used by someone who happens to fish different lakes entailed on 2 different region cards of Navionics maps...
They could insert both map cards and then just change the setting to the map card for the region they were fishing that day...
Or maybe someone that likes some aspects of their Navionics region card "and" some aspects of their "Lakemaster" region card... And then just change the setting for the map card they wanted to view at that time...
Options from HB.... Thanks HB...!!

thanks for the info!
I didnt no it mattered which slot to use mine is in the left slot, and blank card in the right.
