I don't know about Kansas, but "Jet SKi fisherman" is an oxymoron in SC. :Rofl

My brother and I have been known to hop on the jet skis and fish, chasing the white bass around Lake Eufaula. Got quite a few people laughing and pointing at the 2 idiots fishing from the jet skis, until we pull the fish in. Love to catch white bass, don't like to eat them, so we just catch and release. If I could rig some kind of live box or way to store the fish, it would be great for crappie. Only in the summer time, might be a little cold right now.

Jet skis and crappie fishers usually aren't compatable. But who knows you might have started something new.
Don't have a jet ski, but had a good ideal a while back that i could use a jet ski not to fish from, but to pull my 9ft plastic boat way up creeks and rivers quickly, instead of trying to get there with my big boat around all the stumps and shallow water or putting along in the small boat an hour or so to reach where i wanted to. Just tie up the jet ski and drop down the trolling motor on the small boat and go fishing.
Some of the new jetskis are bigger then that boat with 300 HP. Always wanted to build a outrigger on one that dropps down to fish
I have a yahama SUV 4 seater that I rig for ffishing. It can goes really shallow places. This ski is so big and roomy, I try fishing with my friend and it is ok. Can fix 2 five gallon backet in the storage. :biggrin.
I used to fish off of my 1997 seadoo spx---got a lot of funny looks but it worked,
did it once and would do it again. Its perfect for covering alot of water fast for bass. I did it on Lake wabunsee and hit some smallies. Ill never forget it. It was a friends jetski.
Never set on a PWC myself. But, do know there’s a interesting and humorous piece on jetski fishing on the old fishing program call Madman of the Sea, episode 2 “The Marlin that made me crazy”. Show is done by that kiwi nut that jumped out of a helicopter onto the back of a Marlin in the open ocean. Couple of the rides after that segment are stuff dreams come true on, and one wacked out cap on the last piece. Probably worth watching to some. Available on Netflix. Enjoy.
