Can Minnows be dyed
Can Minnows be dyed red or pink. I know they sale some pink minnows around here. But could you buy some and put in something like red food coloring and get them to turn redish for the next weekend. I see some in another post that had red tails that was naturally that way

NOt sure you could die fish. I have seen red minnows, one of the guys in our tournament was using them. Not sure where he got them.

I may be having a senior moment here but I thought I saw some kind of dye in bass pro or Cabelas catalog that you could dip a minnow in and change the color. Might look there. I don't have one handy.

There are shiners, red minnows and pink minnows. You can dye your water blood red. But if shiners are in there, they are still shiners.

Not only can you dye minnows, but the rosy reds come that way naturally, a color mutation of the common fathead. For them it is genetic. A lot of fish have more than one color phase, as well as different breeding colors from non-breeding colors.

Thanks guys I may try to see is I can keep some in dye for a week or so to see what happen to them. I was think that that would do like they do a egg.

When I have minnows die, they start stinking pretty quickly.
