How many boats do you think a once a month tourney trail on Shelbyville would draw? Not including July, August, January and February.

what kinda entry fee would you think? Regardless I think you will get around 20 boats...I think 20 bucks a boat might attract a few more anglers and you could still get a decent payout.
Havent even thought about entry fee, just interested in the results of this poll since there are a lot of guys that love to fish shelbyville and it makes sense to put some faces with names on this sight and any others if people are interested. The guys over in MO have a once a month(i think) tourney on Truman and it is just good ole friendly competition and camraderie between people who share the same passion as most of us here on c.com. Aint no one gonna get rich, but gives us all another reason to get out of the house and at the same time learn from others that might make us all better crappie catchers.
I would be in on such a deal!! I look forward to the tournaments on sville but there is never enough!! It would be great if it was a 20 dollar entery fee with maybe a "classic" at the end of the year with a larger payout. I like to fish them for the thought of winning and not the money.
Would these tournaments always be on a saturday or sunday, or maybe a combination of both?
would like to see some mid week. sucks to get one weekend a month off
Kinda like the Fruit Jars they have in Sippi. Mainly for fun and enjoyment. I would be in for a few. except when its hot you got all the idjits out there.
Not so many of those idjits up towards the river inlets. I know the fish like the cooler deeper waters in the summer but it would make for a challenge.

With a $20 entry fee, larger payouts are not possible. One tournament a month will not attract boats in June, July, and August. The other months are great months to have tournaments.
There is a $50 lake fee/ tournament for any tournament held on Lake Shelbyville when the weigh in is held at any launching ramps.
I would like to see more tournaments held.
I believe more teams would compete if the Late was removed
Another Idea,
Are you talking straight tournament or more of a fellowship Idea such as mens Methodist tournament. I would like to see a format with food afterwards maybe even everyone make their favorite or unique crappie dish. and have the top 3 teams (or all teams) give a presentation on what worked and what time of day they caught there fish. Not describing where you caught the fish but more in this depth range at this time of day. I think it helps all involved become more well-rounded anglers. I think it would provide more competition if everyone started to have a more in depth understanding of the lake and put their own game plan into action at their own spots. I agree no late fees and make the big crappie part of main entry fee. Does the 50 dollar fee apply every time a tournament is conducted by the same group or once a year? Just my ideas.

The $50 fee is assessed every tournament.
