Slabfest 11/17/12 at Volusia County Park on Lake Monroe

It's on, and the Bossman himself will be attending.......yes the boss man will be there along with his wife Sharon. Should have some nice door prizes to give away. It will be a good time to meet and talk to the Slab man himself!!!
This slabfest will not count in the points race but we will have trophies for Big Fish and Heaviest Five Fish. Please let us know who will be attending and what you will be bringing.

I am in with someone in the boat with me and probably a couple extra fer the feast. Bringin the ice tea, ice, cups and prolly somethin else.

Terry and I will be there for sure and Princess too if killer poms are allowed. We are staying a couple miles away at Highbanks Marina so we don't have much excuse for missing this one!!

Pavilion #1 is rented four our slabfest, from 12pm to closing.The girl at the park was hesitant to rent it to us as there is a bass tournament the same day. She informed me that they are opening the gates at 4:30am for the tournament she was worried that there will not be enough parking for all the boat trailers. I assured her that we would work together with the bass people and it wouldn't be a problem. So you may want to arrive early to get a parking spot.

There is like 80 trailer parking places, so it would take like 60 bass guys and us to fill that lot. I dont see a problem there. Maybe staging all the boats after launch but not parking. I believe we have fished same day as them before a couple years back.

Hope its not too late to join the fun.....weather permitting, I'd love to come drag some weed catchers around & see all you clowns again........Gonna bring the brother in law & kid along as well....I'll bring something besides sodas & tea this time..........took too much back with me last year....any ideas?????.......post it up, & I'll bring it.......

I plan to come up & camp fri. night & maybe sat night too.....gotta watch the wind in my little boat .....any body ever troll around in the river with any success????......Roy

Roy, you can troll the river and it's good at times. Also I thing were going to need some more fillets, if you have a few extra to bring.

Quite embarrassed to say, I have no fillets.......I have'nt even been on a boat since july...:dono.....I will bring a board & blade to clean whatever i manage to catch the day of......hopefully we can manage a few to contribute....& if it comes down to it.....Im good with a bologna sammich.....as long as I get to listen to Phantoms rammblings, it will be worth the trip:biggrin
