I wish I had some pics to post.
Hopefully I can have something from this year.
Going to go down and check out the boat ramp on Kapowsin today.
There must be someone here in Washington catching some crappie.
There are defiantly some crappie to be caught here in WA. Get a map find the "blue spots" and wet your line. Start with google and search "western washington crappie" also check out washingtonlakes.com. Plenty of info on both.
Attached is a pic of some crappie I caught recently while fishing a WW lake. (note all fish caught fly fishing)http://www.washingtonflyfishing.com/...191-jpg.16755/
Unfortunately the pic didn't come through.
If the rain breaks a bit I will go try Lake Sawyer this afternoon for a while.
Washington lakes only seems to have reports that are several months old right now for some reason.Welcome to the site Sean_k.
drifterdon, I've been around this site for a while now, I just don't post often. (check my "join date") Second attempt at pics. Also November has typically been my best month for crappie here in WA.Attachment 105226
Came through good that time. Nice catch. Mind if I ask where these came from?
Guess I was jut noticing the post count. Sure wish the Washington forum was as active as it once was.
Those fish came from one of the lakes around Eatonville. Exactly which lake I cannot recall as I fish most of the lakes in that area on a regular basis.
Looks like you had a great day.
Hey everyone those are some nice fish I haven't been out in a couple of days wish the rain would break for a day but thats how it is in the fall if anyone wants ot go fishing send me a pm and we can get after them
Went over to Sawyer today and put a little more time on the engine and tried out the trolling motor for a bit and even threw out a jig for a little bit.
Didn't catch anything but at least I got out for a little. Got about 2 1/2-3 hours on the motor now and working my way through the break-in.
There were a few others out but I think they were targeting Bass and others just running the gas out of their engines for the winter.
My wife is from Seattle; does that give me any points toward being an "honorary" Washington member?:cheers2
Heck yes
Silver Lake down in Castle Rock should be producing some nice fish this time of year. If the weather co-operate I might give it a try this coming weekend. These are some fish I caught around the beginning of October down at 5 Mile.Attachment 105496Attachment 105497Attachment 105498Attachment 105499Attachment 105500

Might want to be careful, I was at the Resort last Sat. off the dock !!!! I thought I was in a perch nursery !!!! LOL !! Weather was terrible Sun. and the wind was taking no prisoners. Water was to choppy to rent a boat, anyway good luck !!! SLABKING Where are you?
The Potholes Reservoir (MarDon Resort) south of Moses Lake is usually a good place for crappies. Also Eloika Lake north of Spokane, although their size isn't much to brag about.

Sure wish we could find them like that in Washington. Not very likely any time soon.
Man that is a nice fish.
when I lived in Tumwater we used to fish the Deschutes River where it run through the Tumwater golf course and the old Olympia Brewery property. my brother caught a crappie there a long time ago. even now I find that odd because it's a small river but he did catch it in a slack water pool, the current was on other side, where we'd catch the trout
Awsome. Look about 14 inches?
