Boo bucket ?
I have sank 100s of buckets in the past but most in deeper water. I will be putting some in 5' this winter. I noticed that ABH has 3-4 sticks per bucket close together. Midsouth has them spaced out. I was thinking about putting a small piece of cane with leaves on the very bottom. What do you guys think. I will be using bamboo.

Just leave space in middle so they can move in and out, 4-5 shoot boo works best for me. The above pict may be thick but has space in middle.
Attachment 103947 4 stakes per bucket if big stakes .
Ask goose how slick they go down. He is a convert to the bucket now too.

If your 'boo is too tall and it gets out of water the buckets will lay down and disintegrate quicker.

I like spacing them out in shallow water so I can fish between them and beside them.... In deeper water I prefer them a little tighter than my last pics show....

Here is a few shots of my (buckets). As I mentioned they will be in 7-10 fow I troll mainly. I am not in a big hurry to get them in the water since the ramp is 2' out of the water. Funny thing that MS river, I cant get in my fishing hole and last year it had 34' of water in it and washed all my structure to New Orleans. Time to start all over on river oxbows. All lake buckets are ok.The bushy stuff on the bottom can be cut off at the last minute. Just dont know yet

You can put a milk jug close to the top to keep them from falling over.

Do these buckets attract bass as well as crappie?
-
They will attract all kinds of fish. I've caught a bunch of bass while crappie fishing 'boo buckets, not to mention catfish, bream, pickerel, & white bass. The bream in particular will stack up on these things at times.

Billy u sank them things yet and get some picts?

For shallow water I use bucket lid boo laying down. We cut holes with a hole saw on a drill. Push Bambpoo through and tie but ends to spread. Weight butt and mid point. Easier than using concrete and can be sunk right away.
-
I have not sunk them yet. They are ready but I need the water to come up in the river to fill the oxbows up. The river is 21' low right now.
