I have used hitek and b&n. so far I like the pst's best. I would look at the rod Conway is selling too but probably out of price range for what u wanting to spend. Food for thought hold out and buy the good stuff as you will spend more in the long ring buying cheap first and then good stuff second. I know from experience!!!
Pinnacles are very good for the money. Great starter rods and if u want to upgrade later they are a good back up set. That being said the Ozarks are hands down the best rod I have ever used for trolling and I've had sets of pinnacles, PST's, Capps and Coleman's in the past.

Just avoid the Crappie Hunter's by Shakespeare! I've seen two new ones break in the middle not even the tip with dink crappie.
I would be glad to help you with the Ozark rods give me a call 501-912-2986.
Mid South, Ozark Rods and Hi Tek Pro Staff.
Like ABH says. Dont buy your poles twice. Save up and get a good one. I have been using the ozark for 2-3 months and like Handi ,I love them.
I use pinnacles for trollin and have had very good look with them... Catch way more fish than a high $ wally Marshall troll Tec but maybe thts jus bc they r more flexible and I could see the lightest of bites on the pinnacles... They are heavy and I did have one tht had a bit of a curve to it but they have held up good and as far as strength iv landed a 35 lb Asian carp and them babies fight! ( took over an hour to land) ... If u live close to an academy sports u can get the tournament choice crappie rods and I liked them even better than the pinnacles and they were cheap but not long enuff for me.... Buy the pinnacles and save money for 4 Ozarks then u can add a s rig and fish with 8 poles... Fyi I troll with double jig rigs so I have 2 1/16 or 2 1/8 oz jigs so if u use 1/2 oz or 3/4 oz weights for minnow rigs tht might b slightly heavy for the pinnacles but prolly b fine
In my opinion the pin Vertex are good rods for the money. The pinn limits are the gray roda and are very heavy with little to no back bone, great for bluegills but not my idea of a good crappie rod.As others have said save the pennies and get some good ones.
i have also used several brands and i sell several brands , the best spiderriggin pole second to none is the ozark, the best cheap trolling rods are the hi-tecs !! i am like some of the others save up to get the best and don't buy twice , even if you just get a couple at a time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have several different types of ozark rods that came from conway been using them since last year. I agree hold out you'll be verry impressed
Ok, you guys talked me out of the Pinnacles. I think i will just start with two good ones and go from there.

Have them as back up poles and fish with them instead of PST,s when bight is real light. They are heavier but you ain't jig in with them anyway. Grizzly twill sell you another pole for the same price if you buy the 4 deal. Get a extra while your at it. They have a parabolic bend which means they will bend almost to the handle but plenty of strength to lift big fish with. All the other poles are great poles but not everyone can afford them so do what is best for your situation and get fishing. You can always get some others later when and if you can afford them and you would as someone else said have them for backup or to let someone else use if they fish with you and don't have their own poles. I have a neighbor who owns PST,s and would rather use my Pinnacals than his poles when he fishes with me.
What length are you looking for c.j.
I know you expect this from an Ozark prostaffer, but they really are the best rods on the market, bar none. I have had them all prior to joining ozark after the bnm quality went south. Call Conway and get the best deal around on them!
I'm like you c.j. On the spider rigging. That's a new world for me. Don't know much about it. Bit I'm ready to get my feet wet this year
Yep, i finally got my motor fixed. My next project is getting rid of my carpet and going back with Grizzly Grip. Then i can rig it up right. A nice project for the winter, i think.

go with the 14ft!!!!!
Ain't you heard Jerry longer is better 16 ft IMO
I've never trolled before but I'm like cj and wanting to get my boat set up. Can somebody explain the importance of the rod length and recommend a set up?
jw 16ft are for yall experts!!!!!!
i like the 14ft rods the best longer poles are less likely to spook shallow fish when in shallow water or if your fishing reel deep in the summer or winter your want be fishing deeper than your line !!! thats the two main reasons. i think the hi-tek rod holders are the best , and i have used three different kinds !!! and like i said before go ahead and get some good rods to start with even if you just get a couple at a time !!!! i have used about every kind made !!! there is no better than the new ozarks they have a sensitive tip to detect the light bite and good backbone to handle the larger fish !!! hope this helps some !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It helps, definitely not going with the cheapos but just cant do the ozarks right now. Conway quoted me an awesome deal so i will definitely be puttin money in the piggy bank! Thanks for all of the input.

Let me know when u find them experts i just have to use longer ones to get to the fish before Jerry lmbo
I have eight pinnacles I'd like to sale,I've upgraded to ozark.....
How long are the pinnacles u got 4sale?
Well, i ended up going with some Hi-Tek Firecast 14 footers. They seem to have everything i was looking for. Thanks for all the help. I will be posting results soon.

Congrats C.J. Let me know how you like them. I'm following in your footsteps on this trolling. Guess I'm begins since you've done more than think about it.
Guess I'm behind is what I was trying to say.
Well where the results
i have any kind of fishing tackle you want!!!!!!!!!!!
Have you tried the suffix in hi-vid tangerine orange? If not you should give it a try. I really like the suffix line but its a little pricey. I just got a couple spools at academy going to be changing all my stuff over. I've always used suffix on my bass and catfish gear and have been very pleased with it.
