dd, i now the feeling............I haven't been in a month and a half. the couple times I got ready to go, the wind was 30 mph.
I hate the wind. I did see where there's a chance of rain this coming weekend, hope it holds off. I recon I'll pull cranks for awhile, then I wanna hit a couple of the old lakes upriver. I finally started learning a couple of them last year and want to explore a few more
That's the only way to do it. Get right out there amongst'em.
spose to be a high of 59 saturday up this way! I believe I might go sit in a stand for a lil while and get me some meat for duck season!

I think there's a front coming through on Sunday with a slight chance of rain. I'll be driving to Grenada Sunday for a week of fishing. Good luck DD.
We have an engagement party to go to saturday night but well b outta there early so i can get up bout 430 to hit it. Hope ole paul johnson wasnt telling a story bout the cranks in his blog. Said they were slamming it good early on cranks. That fella sho does know the rez when it comes to pulling cranks

I wanna try the rez one day DD but Saturday looks better as far as the wind. Of course the forecast could change by then. Thinkin bout hittin the river ledges in the lake. Got a spot I worked on em down ther bout this time last year.

Well good luck . I ain't quite decided , I think I will be going to the woods saturday morning and the rez saturday afternoon . this fall and winter fishing is new to me . I had one of my best days every in september last year . But didn't get to go much this year . I haven't been in three weeks . Got the shakes . Oh DD if would like me to check a spot for you I'll be glad to . just send me the gps coordinates . I hope it is closer than the last one . LOL good luck .
How big is an average fish this time of year at the res?
The last ones i caught , I had 11 1 1/2 . but really am picky at what i keep . lot of 8 to ten inches fish to through back . If you find then it ain;t much different than the four . catch 50 keep 10 or fifteen 12 or better . unless your Wannabe . hie 7 weighed 2.5 lbs . he was just happy w elet him catch more than one fish .lol
Sounds about right. Lb to lb n a half. Youll catch a few pushing 2 n if ya get lucky 1-2 over 2 lbs. We had that mini tourney either.ladt fall or the one before n i had big fish of the tourney at 2 1/4 lbs. Got it on a crank in 8 fow with the crank slammin the bottom
