Nice shots. The DI on the 998 is pretty good. Much better that what I usually get.
Is that the exact same brushpile in both shots...??
Rickie
yes. each set are the the same, but from deferent angles .the 597 is trolling motor mounted . the 998 is mounted on the transom

Nice pics!!
Nice shots Kosmo! Does the 998 have a dedicated crystal for DI? I have a lot of problems still trying to figure out my settings for DI on the 998 that I use some times on a friends boat. You're DI pics are some of the best I've seen so far. I fish a lot of 10 to 20 feet deep, pretty heavily stained water. What settings have you found that work the best for you on DI? Frequency, sensitivity, ect.
Thanks,
Dave
no unfortunately the 998 has to rely on the two si crystals. i set the sharpness on high
i tried comparing the to units again today but its hard to get fair comparisons. the 597 is mounted on the trolling motor while the 998 is mounted to the transom. im tying to fish and remember to get pictures from both units. i believe that the pictures are of the same structure.theres two different structures . so far i believe that i like the 998 di pictures are better than the 597. thats a big surprise to me.
what settings are you using on your 597?
the two pictures above using the 800khz. some of the pictures that ive posted are using the 455khz. i dont no witch ones though.thats my fault......... but so far it seems that the best setting for me is scroll speed set to default with contrast set very low and just adjust sensitivity to the bottom33333333333333333333333333333333333333333333 33333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333 33333333333333333333333333333333333444444444444444 44444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444 4 im fishing
