It's true, John. He got involved in a match. Won it and returned to the commentators table where he collapsed. CPR was performed on site and transported to hospital. Last report was he is stable and breathing on his own.

Hope he will be fine. Wonder ifn he broke out the knocks last night, bet he did pull down his shoulder strap ifn he was in a match. Jerry has got to be in his early 60s, time for him to behave himself.
Brian is his real son, not his son-in-law. We talking about the same guy here?
Here's his last mug shot. Attachment 101068
Thats it.....
I remember watching him on saturdays on channel 9, that was back when we could only get 3 stations and had to go outside to turn the antennae with a pipe wrench to get one of them.

nononoTo the guy's sister, this aint one of them Arkansas hillbillie deals.
Prayers sent for the King. Say they are concerned he might have some brain damage because it took about 15 to 20 minutes to revieve him.
Get well, King! I grew up watching Memphis rasslin' with Lawler, Bill Dundee, the Jarretts, and Lance Russell and Dave Brown.
Nuthouse fargo was one of my favorites and ole Jimmy Valyant (sp). Dutch Mantel was a huge man, on TV he just looked like another wrestler but when you saw him live he was a head taller than the King. Dont forget Jimmy Hart, What was Jerry's manager and partner that got killed in the wreck, for some reason Jerry didnt go with them and they were killed in the wreck?
I remember those guys. Memphis was like the "proving ground" for pro wrestling. You almost had to go through there to make it big. Macho Man was there, as was Hulk Hogan for a brief period. So were the Road Warriors, my all-time favorite tag team! I saw the the Road Warriors take on Lawler and Austin Idol in a tag team match at Rupp Arena. The Road Warriors were HUGE.
