Nope, block heater, most diesels have em, is in the water jackets and keeps the motor warm. Makes an ole truck like mine easier to crank and the water in the truck is already warm so the heater is blowing heater from the get go. Plugs into a 110 cord.
I gotcha, I got 8 of em and never plug em in. Ain't never had no issues either. Mabey I'll give it a try.
Around these parts there really not needed but up north a must.....But they do crank easier and already warm like Rees said on those cold mornings. We plug ours in on those nites that get below freezeing.Quote:
