Carpet has gotten very worn in my 1994 tracker. I kinda wanna pull it up and put down something similar to a bed liner product. Anyone have any idea what would be best???

I've seen one done like that but can't remember the name of the product.
Got to be careful, some of that stuff wont stay down, will flake and peel. Good luck

i will 2nd Ree said... make sure the product is oil and gas resistant. i did my duck boat and spent the time to do it right. then i spilled some gas in it.. next day everywhere the gas got, had turned loose.
Bass Pro Has it in stock. Try the boat dept.
I bought a gallon from BPS and paid what I thought was a lot for it and I may still have most of it. I'll give it to u if I can find it but I don't think u'll like it any better than I did. A total waste of good money.
I looked everywhere I could think of and didn't find anything suitable. Bed liner stuff will work but didn't want black and it was way too expensive. Hence, u now know why I went back with kitchen tile. Works great, many colors and patterns to choose from.
Rip, I was researching your question and I stumbled onto this link. Stuff is made for all types of apps. You might contact them and see what they say.If they have a money-back guarentee!Comes in a lot of colors. My Express had a sprayed in liner from the factory. Stuff is tough as nails! Bed Liner Paint, Do It Yourself Bed Liner, Roll On Bed Liner
You can have it sprayed in at most of the commercial places like Rhino Liner, etc.

I have had both Rhino Liner and Gator Hide sprayed on a couple of different vehicles. I like the Gator Hide the best of those two.

I think Excel uses Super Liner. It works really well.

That stuff that in my Express is tough as nails but it's also tough on a pair of bare knees if you have to get down on them for any reason.I don't have trim on this old 1988 Evinrude and have to get on my knees to lift it. That liner will eat the hide right off!I like it though! Seems to dampen sounds in the boat fairly well. If you drop something, it's more of a dull thud than a loud metallic sound!
Only thing is....on that Tracker boat.....some of your hatch covers are abs plastic...then part of the decks are plywood .....and part of them aluminum so you would be coating three different types of material. I think it would look better if you got some of that vinyle boat floor covering material from Cabelas and glued it down.
I saw some neat stuff on a new boat yesterday at bps. It was like a thick, dense foam material that was corrugated. Anyone know anything about that stuff?

I saw something similar in a boat at Bass Pro that was glued down and was coming loose on the underneath side of evry lid I opened.
The product is called hydroturf. It works really well. You have to be liberal with contact cement to get it to stick. It's expensive, but from what I understand it's super durable, keeps cool in the summer, doesn't freeze your dog's boys to the deck in the winter and helps quiet the boat down. You can sometimes get B stock from hydro turf for a little less money.
Just googled hydroturf. That stuff seems amazing. 1/4 inch thick closed cell foam in just about any color. Easy to install. Easy to clean. Not overly expensive. BUT! It is for flat surfaces. Don't see how you could wrap the edges of a compartment lid. They don't have any pics other than flat surfaces. It comes in either pre-glued(peel and stick) on for contact cement.

Just wondering David. Is the deck marine grade wood like my '02? Think anything will stay down if the wood swells/shrinks which I'm purty sure it does??
