If your motor sat up for a while, it would be smart to tear down and clean the carbs. Granted, it's probably six for that motor, so it's going to be a hassle. But the reality is this- if you have a needle stick closed on a two stroke motor, you have a good chance of dropping a cylinder. On an engine that age, there's no sense in rebuilding it and it becomes junk. It's cheap insurance and if you run your rig as much as it sounds, this may be the only rebuild you'll need to do for several years. I would hate to know that you did all of this work only to burn up a cylinder.
