Hogdawg went the other day and caught a bunch of dinks on the docks. It will be getting better soon tho. We usually kill em in October trollin minners.

I'm hearing the pads at the top of the shoe around happyjack 3-5 fow.
Yeah hudnut that's what the agfc report said too. I never have any luck over there. I need to meet some of you pros over there and take lessons. :biggrin
I'm far from a shoe pro.... Or even a crappie pro in general. But shooting docks is some fishing. Snagging into a big ole bass or cat up under there can get exciting too. I plan to make a weekday afternoon trip soon.
I think the trick to it is patience and stealth. One wrong turn or bump with the tm in the pads, and you are done for awhile. It can be frustrating.:bash
Yeah....drowned a bunch of minners with no luck then went to the docks.....Had a blast....love to feel that thump. Just wasn't any size to them. We actually caught some of the bigger (10") fish that day in 5 to 6 FOW under the docks. And caught several catfish as well
minners or jigs under the docks?
it will calm down after Labor day, then when hunting season comes in, it's really quiet!!
I'm along way from the "pro" part, but I love to fish the shoe. Been fishing it for close to 50 years now. Have a place there and usually will be there most every weekend, with the exception of duck season!! Come fishin anytime. Like brm said, the trolling will be heating up real soon and then it's Katie bar the door!!!
Lol thanks for the info and the invites guys. I just got a lot to learn about that lake.
