Can not beat the Sam Heatons for Jig Fishing in my book
both are great jig poles !!!! but the ozark has a titanium tip and its tought as nails !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep.....and thats why I prefer them without the rear reel seat.....they will go in a rod holder and you can spider rig with them.Quote:

I am gonna have to try one or two of them. I am a BnM man, but the Brushcutter is just to dang heavy to jig brush alllllll day long. I may have to try the Ozark jig pole too. Anyone got one they want to get rid of?
When I single pole I rest the butt of the pole under my elbow holding the rod almost at the top of the handle, bet the rear seat really makes the rod balance lighter and more sensative, gonna have to try one, can you get em in 16 footers??Quote:

Be careful swinging crapps in the boat. I've ordered three Heaton's, and they've all broke. The lady at BnM pretty much scolded me for swinging fish in the boat with them. These rods feel great, but I guess you're supposed to net every fish you catch with em?

I fI cant "power" land em then the rod aint for me, I lift alot of fish into the boat, even big fish and that rod would last a day on Scuna river.Quote:

Wth you want a 16' jig pole fer? 12' is plenty long for any form of hand polin.
G if you got Hiteks they will hold a rear seat rod. Jus turn the reel upside down.
I've had a Sam Heaton for bout 5 years and ain't never broke it.
