Not much knock down power. But something is better than nothing. More people have been killed with a .22 lr than you would believe by accident. So all it had to do is deter some one to not fight anymore.
Will do the trick, if its cheap get it.
Knock down power for what?
Is it clean? By that I mean can it be traced back to you? If not go for it. But don't make no payments on it, buy it outright.
I'm going to get kind of gun nerd on you, but this is something that you need to know:
Standard handguns do not have secondary wounding characteristics at all, which is what people consider "knock down power". The hole that the bullet pokes is about as much tissue damage as one can expect from the firearm. After all, handgun rounds are traveling at around 1,000 fps. Good rifle rounds are traveling three times that speed, maybe more. So, whether it's a 9mm, 38 spl., .45 acp., 40, .357 Sig, etc., you're not really dealing with a consistent man stopper. What you really have is a hole-poker. After all, roughly 80% of handgun-related injuries survive. It just takes that long for someone to bleed out if they're not shot somewhere really important like the head, heart, or spine.
What does make a difference is penetration. How deep will the bullet travel through muscle and such. FBI minimum is something like 9" of penetration in order to reach vital organs. This is typically accomplished with anything larger/faster than a .38 spl or .38 spl+P. Can a .32 kill someone? Sure can. The French used that cartridge to clean up trenches in WWI, but they were probably head-shooting wounded Germans. However, I would want something with greater penetration for daily carry.
Big enough for what
I wouldn't call a .410 a standard handgun round, either. It's traveling at roughly twice the speed of a standard handgun round- 1,800 fps. vs. 900 fps.
It was bad, couldnt have traveled more than half an inch. Pressure was massive.
32 will do the job, may have to empty the gun, but it will do. I've seen a .327 gun on the market when out shopping. Will a 32 round fire from a .327? Like a 38 spl. will fire from a .357. I haven't a clue. How much is the ammo for the 32? Save your brass.
I don't know about ballistics and all that but if you looking at the wrong end of a 32 it's pretty scary and hopefully that's all any of us will have to use one for is a deterrent.
It is a nice gun so I got it. the 9 was to big to consele and this fits good in my pocket. need protection just like all of you do
No he's a good guy. Talked to him a bit today about his gun
Is it a revolver? Makes it easier to crank a few out through your pocket
We'll meet at Como and try it out sometime. Send me a pm for when.
Is it a shiney one? Sometimes the shiney ones are worth more.
