thanks for the pics, looks like a good time, see a spoiler name on that list............ DD who????
Nice pictures ! Congrats to Scott and Rodney on first place and the money winners ! Looks like there were a lot of close weights !
Congrats to all that won, whether it was in the tournament or in the drawings. There was a nice rod (Thanks Dave) Lews spinning reel, CDC merchandise, jigs, lures, A Rigs etc. The grub is nice to come off the water to also! Maybe we'll get a fish fry going after the next one, who knows. See you then!
I forgot to send my deepest sympathy to Bill, the pic of him at the launch is the last one for that motor. He blew it, not sure of the details on it. The good side, the new one will be way badder!!!
Great pics Skeeter. Always fun seeing pics after the tournaments. Several guys in the pics that I remember from last tournament I fished up there. Congrats to Rodney and his partner. His name is a regular at the top of the leader board. Vic is that you in a couple pics? Skeeter if I can make it up next tournament I hope to see some of your jigs. I will try and bring some of mine up for giveaways and maybe we can do some swapping to try each others out.
Great tournament again. Good food, good raffle (I won the 11ft Ozark rod) and good to see everyone again. Congratulations to Rodney and Scott. If I could get my partner to catch some fish :dono maybe we would have successfully defended or title. We fished hard and only caught 7 keepers (one was 9 in) and I lost a 12 at the boat. Had fun, hope the fishing gets better for the Sept tournament.
Thanks again Joe and every one involved.
C'mon Dad, where's the love? Another good time. Thanks Joe and Trevor for all the work. Joe, thanks for fishing with me, I really enjoyed it. Dave, once again thanks for the duck call, it sounded great all the way home. Good seeing everyone.
Thanks Joe and Trevor. Great to see everyone. Wish I would have won that rod to replace mine that is now in the bottom of the lake
(39°30'6.77"N - 94°30'31.63"W):banghead. Sorry Bill... What does a person say to someone that fished in a $30 tournament and ends up costing him thousands?:dono Very nice of the guys to donate items and it was good fishing with you Rodney. Tough day of fishing for sure.
Looks like a great time! Congrats to all.
OCFTD. Love it. I am the same way. Could not get all the color combos I wanted so started tying and now can't quit. I Buy everything new that comes out and give it a try. Then end up going back to the basics that I always used. Works out for my buddies kids as I end up cleaning out the boat and tying room and bagging the unused stuff up for them.
How far is it from the boat ramp you use for these tournaments to the W bridge ramp we used last time I fished the tournament up there?
I like the W ramp better, but there is a pavilion at crowes creek that works out better for weigh in and eating. Plenty of picnic tables. The extra mile or so is worth it. It's usually not as crowded as W also.
Having a pavilion is nice for sure. We sure enjoy the one at Bucksaw we use for our Truman tournaments when it is raining or hot and sunny. I was just wondering by water how far of a run it was. I sure liked the looks of the area above W bridge that Dexter took me to two years ago in the Smithville tournament. They sure liked the hackle jigs that day. We caught a lot of fish offhand and marabou jigs in blk/yellow and blk/chart with pony head or belly spinners.
Congrats to everyone that fished the tournament, look likes a fun time and a decent day to fish.
Sorry about the bad luck man.
Hey I got to run Bills boat today,it was with the trolling motor didnt seem near as fast!!!!!! Thanks Bill will do better next time hope things work out. Wanted to thank everyone envolved today , except for a little bad luck it was fun seeing everyone!!!!!
Congrats to the winners and thanks for the pictures.
thanks treavor and joe , another great job, well done. had a great time ,good company on and off the water. my, how the fishing can change, with the fish that i caught on friday i thought there would be some big weigh ins. but i guess with these passing fronts it sure give them lockjaw today. i think at one point i caught scott throwing quarters in the lake trying to buy a bite. bill sorry about the motor but look on the bright side , there may be a new motor or a boat in your near future.
Looks like a good time. Hopefully see you at the next one.
We missed ya at this one, Kevin...
Next one is on September 15th. I might've said the 22nd, but that's the one at Truman Lake so we're not interfering with those who want to fish both.
Thanks for the pics, Trevor, and for all your help and for donating the food and some giveaways. Thanks to Dave for the rod donation, and to Hookin' and Cookin' for the Crappie.com towel. Just a reminder that if you didn't win that you can still buy one from them. Just PM JR and Debbie and they'll set you up!
Also wanted to congratulate the winners and thank everyone for showing up and making these things happen. All the planning and execution doesn't mean squat if nobody fishes them so all y'all deserve as much thanks for making these things successful!
I know some of y'all are gonna be hunting in September (or in Canada!) but I'm looking for an even bigger event on the 15th!
Great job all, looks like a good crew and a good time.
Had a great time. Scott and I hadn't been out in awhile. Thanks guys for taking time to get together.
It was fun to finally get to attend the weigh in on one of these, eat some chow, and listen to some bs!! I fished for a couple of hr before weigh-in and had about the same luck as the teams....slowwww....just picking up a fish here and there
