Petted mom today with the kittens.
She let me and melissa both pet her and the kittens and she let me take the kittens out so I could make more room and put more carpet down. One of the kittens is just starting to open it's eyes.

Yay. That's good momma is letting u handle her n them...the kittens need to be handled a bit each day when they open their eyes so they get used to humans n don't turn out feral.
The fact that momma let u touch her means she isn't feral, n that's a good thing!!
Those kittens don't need a home. THEY ALREADY GOT ONE! Tolt ya!

NO WAY!!! I don't mind tending to them make sure mamma does her job--but can't have no cats. Heck this neighborhood has enough of em as it is. Now ifn I had about 10 acres and a barn wouldn't mind at all.Quote:

Thanks but no thanks Im good with one. He wanderd in the shop one day and stayed. he ended up with a Bot Worm, I took him to the vet to get healed and then brought him home to heal up. That was 3 yrs ago and hes still here.
Thanks Barbie. She almost wanted to keep one around (outside of course) but her kindness took over and would rather see the Kitty inside (just not here:)) but we will see. For the update all eyes are open and they are starting to try and walk.

Yeah--we've been holding them and petting them everyday-momma too--gave her a piece of hot dog today:) Best I can figure her schedule is she stays with them starting just before dark to about noon the following day then goes out and is in and out until just before dark. So far the kittens can't get out of the box yet by themselves it wouldn't be until they could jump before they can get out on their own. Heck I even got pooped on by one today--yeck.Quote:

Sometimes the ol tomcat will kill the kittens especially the male kittens........that may be why momma is moving them.....she may know that he has found their hideing place.
I was wondering if they would do that--I got down there just in time then--he is a big boy too--ifn I found he was getting the kittys i'd have to take care of him--but momma took care of it for now. Where I'm thinking they are now--old tom can't get to them--4 big dogs in a fenced yard to take care of that:)Quote:
