Good luck with the new job. There are some guys on here that fish up those lakes. Hopefully they let you know something to help with the move and fishing. Don't forget you won't be to far away from Oconee, West Point, and Logan Martin in Alabama.

Allatoona has a few crappie . I have lived here since 83 and never fished Acworth . Most of my fishing for crappie is on the upper end .
They call it the Dead Sea ,but it has kept me happy for a long time . Shoot me a PM when you get here and I can give you a few starting points .
There was a house for sale that backed up to COE property on Toona for around 117k . I think it was on GON market place .

Don't know your price range ,but there are 5 to 12 acre lots for sale by the Stamp Creek ramp and a friend of ours bought 5 acres off of Sweetwater for around $25000 total ,not per acre . I think it was a foreclosure .

I have only just started fishing the Toona for about a month. Lake sets up well for trolling but the fish are not in any concentration from what I can tell. They say it really picks up come Sept. I get over there once or twice a month nos. Maybe we can tag team them and learn together.

I wished my boys had been twins . I figured I could buy one set of clothes as they got older and sent them to school on alternating days . Kind of like two for one . Same with college .

PM me some time and I will help. Been my home lake for 25 years.
