That ought to work....probably won't have to put very much in it.
I put a little in my own personal bags of lures. Gives great scent. I also keep jar with a lid on it. I will put cod liver oil, anise, Sardine oil and garlic salt in it. When I get to the water and tie on my soft plastic bait, I will dip it briefly in this mixture for a little added punch and some additional scent. Makes it taste like something alive. By the time the fish figure out it is artificial they have a metal hook imbedded in their mouth. Works well.
Last time I check garlic was still garlic. Sure, it will work.
I put about 5 worms in a bag and put some canola oil and a dash of garlic power in it. Going to see if this works. Was also wondering if you can put coffee grounds in oil for coffee scents. Cub48
Well I never meet a fish in the local coffee shop:Rofl But hey I may be shopping wrong shop. I have tried Garlic for crappie did get some small bass but no crappie????Somewhere I read a article that said garlic odor is about same odor a injured minnow gives off so why not try it may work for you, been thinking about trying it again after reading that article, let us know how it works ..................................
Personally I don't use anything for scent other than an occasional drop of Cod Liver Oil or Gulp scents/baits. I've never seen an instance where any scent made a difference, but the Gulp operates on an entirely different principle and I've seen where using it can make a huge difference.
Are you guys sure you aren't adding all this other stinky stuff to your baits so your hands don't smell like fish or worm oil? lol
I have used Glicirn oil from drug store no sent and great oil for soft plastics. Mixed garlic powder or anise oil and both seem to work. I don't know how much attracting they do but being a smoker I know that is a negative when handling lures so if does nothing more than mask the nicotine it works for me.
I use shad scent.. havent noticed much difference. But man does it reek
I have used garlic scent and it has worked well.
This is what I use and it really works good. http://www.crappie.com/crappie/conte...3-z5a.jpg.htmlhttp://www.crappie.com/crappie/conte...3-z4a.jpg.html
