Tie them......less hardware better in my book....
I tie
Donnie, these gnats are the best looking baits I have seen. We have been using using them at Ky lake all summer around my boat dock just letting them swim around without a weight and the fish have gone nuts over them. The slow fall and the little movement in the few pieces of rubber make these usually hard to catch fish bite. Cant wait to see what the Sickle Runners look like. Thanks again
I can send you some pics of how I do mine
Works great

Slimey stick with the Gnats and tie them on and the fish will come..GNATS best hand tied Jig for crappie on the market....Some may try to copy but you can not copy quailty
His work is top notch. A lot of people around me at KY Lake have asked about em. I send em to CappieLogic and so far he's had rave reviews up here.
nuttn but the best for my crappie:)
I have a question . Do they work without minners ?
Never used the Gnats without minners but the weighed ones he ties YES. And him and Crazy Angler are putting out a plastic jig. In Oct it comes out and let me tell nothing on market like it and its bad to the Bone
i have never caught any on them without minners but i have had a lot of folks say that they have of course i dont spider rig much mr thump
Never used them without a minnow but wan't go without them . I have caught more with the gnats than a straight minnow for sure . I have about 15 dozen all colors, blue, white . And chartruce mixed with anything are my favorites . They all catch fish .
I have a few i got on my trip to washington back in may and washington whooped me . But it was my first time there . 2 1/2 days i only caught 22 all good fish , but i was stubborn and jigged the whole , had the gnats below my jigs , i never caught any on the gnats then . To stubborn to use minners plus my wife was with me and she wouldn't let me kill any minners lol . And that's the truth .

I changed to the quick snaps this year on my rigs, and it's worked really well for me. It's easy to change to any style bait, regular hook, and especially colors with these on the rig. It's much better than having to re tie rigs just to change colors.
BTW, I tie mine in a loop knot so the bait can move on the line better. I also tie a small snap swivel either between the baits, or on the bottom, so I can change weight sizes also. This helps when I need to go faster during the warmer months. I just put on a bit heavier weight without redoing my rigs.

I didn't think so till we ran out of minners at Enid one morning, but yes they do work without a minnow, but I dont think as well as they do with one.
