They're also some cool spots out at the Wharf. Nessa can shop there while you have a cocktail.

Boy, you really do pinch your pennies dont ya? First it was a cheap tire, now ya wanna eat cheap too!
pack peanut butter sandwiches you'll save alot of money or you can just enjoy your vacation and spend some money
Ya'll ever heard of the Gumbo Shack in Fairhope? They give away boiled crawfish and SUPPOSED to have the best gumbo around. Diners Driveinss and dives was there awhile back, said it was awesome
I got the tire CHEAP, thanks to EZ, just not wanting to spend $100 on a meal. I don't mind at all forking out 50-60 a meal for the 2 of us though
The gumbo shack aint too bad. I eat there many times when i was living in daphne
There was an Italian place in orange beach called franks that was pretty good but that was 7 years ago
Gulf Shores Steamers good eats
Doc's...not the one in Gulf Shores, the one in Orange Beach. Yeah, it's a hole in the wall, but the food is great.
Do the liquid diet all week......GREEN CUP AFTER GREEN CUP
Take cty rd 10 to Bon Secour and eat at TinTop. Great food at a good mix of prices. Mikey's has good food at good prices. Franco's Italian is good. Bahama Bobs is a good place for lunch on the beach. Big Fish on Canal Rd is really good, but a little pricey. If you're fishing, hit Little Lagoon real early. Good speck fishing.
Da green cup will be out in force for sure but not til i get off the water. I heard that bout little lagoon. Foshing the pier lights starting bout 3am. Im taking a shop.light 5hats got a clamp n gonna put it out on the pier at the condo to attrack the fish.to. even gonna get some rabbit food to get more bait fish in on our pier. Ive got some sabika rigs in different sizes n my cast net to get some live bait to
Bottom line Have fun and be Safe thats all that really matters. You can make more money so spend it and have fun
Your on vacation Gewb, Money is no object, Spend it foolishly.
Hope to be posting fesh pics on my facebook starting sunday. Found a couple fishing forums for the mobile bay area n some reak nice folks have helped me out on where to go. Even bought a laminated hot spot map showing all the oyster beds n inshore reefs. Fun is needed for both of us. The last mobth its been go go go. Work teaching classes n the house have us wiped out.
Wilber i wish i could. Got another grand to put in the house to get it ready. One good thing is i had an old gold rope chain n the wedding r8ng from my 2nd marrage n sold em for $325. Aslo been saving vhange for 2 years. Had $480 there
the best bang for your buck on food is to find a wholesale seafood joint, have them steam it for you and take it back to your condo and drink your own booze. There were a couple of places doing this in Destin, so i'm sure Gulf Shores has the same thing. The one we went to had shrimp, crabs, feesh, steaks, speacilty sausages, cheeses, and wine, you get the idea. you can actually put together a meal that would cost a couple hunerd dollars in a high end joint, for a fraction of the cost.
Hang on, DD. I may wanna go with y'all. It's getting plumb wacko on here.
We got dat covered. Taking the big cooker to boil up some crabs n some shrimp plys fry some fesh. Even got a bbq grill on site. Maybe do some redfish on the half shell.
It's mo fun to do it myself though :cheers2
Take yo crab nets and while your fishing at night catch some of them to. Get some rotted chicken and have fun
Oh, we gonna do that. I bought a crab trap a couple years back when we were staying in Bay St Louis at a condo so we'll put it out on the pier we have as well. With a 7 day salt water license, you can legally put out 5 crab traps
Also try some of the cheap traps that lay flat when you let them sink to the bottom. You can pick them up cheap(couple bucks each). Put you a 4 oz weight in it and tie you a spoiled piece of chicken to it and kick back with green cup in hand
DD, I ain't read all these replies, so I don't know if anyone mentioned Shrimp Basket restaurant. They are inexpensive and very good food. They have a daily all you can eat deal. The fried white fish is great! Closest fish to crappie I have ever found.
