They got ours too.
I saw crows catching and eating baby rabbits this spring. Never thought they were predatory until then.
I've seen Cardinals and squirrels tear them up but never crows! 2 yrs ago I had some awesome tomato plants growing here in Southaven only to discover that rats were climbing up the vines at night and poked holes in the vines with their claws and the vines started to die. They ate all my purple hulls and quite a few of my cantalopes. Kept my dog up all night. I ended up catching 23, some half as long as your arm, in them old rat traps baited with peanut butter! They were coming up out of a drainage ditch in a park that was just downhill from my garden.Didn't bother my squash, eggplants, hot peppers, or bell peppers.
OLD GEEZER FISHERMEN NEVER DIE, THEY JUST SMELL THAT WAY!!
Never seen that before but I seen Billbob drink a Shinerbock one time so anything is possible.
Wannabe...
Well, after further review, I think a 12 ga with #8 heavy field load would be the best preventive measure. Regardless, it would be good practice for the upcoming dove season, and cheaper then clays. Just sayn.
I have a friend that his look like that and the deer are getting them .
Might be able to spray them with something that will prevent that and not harm the animal.Check with a co-op!Build a chicken wire cage that you can remove!!! Or just blast them suckers!!!!Maybe if you feed the crows something else they might let your matos alone.Good luck!!

So you see, i can't go a blastin' away like i would if i were out in the booger woods. i do have a solution to my problem though, will post pics next week when it arrives
Had to order something. Hmmmmmmm.............this could be interesting.
awful lot of damage to the plants for a stinkin crow, looks like a bambi moment to me.
