Paint swap jigs

Was in a painted jig head swap on another great site and received some great painted jig heads.
Havent tied in a while so i sat and did up 3 of the offerings last night.

Pics are with my cell. Hopefully y'all can enlarge em enough to see what great painters where in the swap.

Cldnt get my pic to show his paint that well so I stole his pic bc it's such a great paint job.

Renge, really easy stuff. Thought it would be more complex but easy with right teacher. Mine is as good as they come and she' cooks good too.

If u can tie your shoes you can do it. Some materials just show it better than others. And other techniques seem to show end result easier with the right materials.
The fish won't care either way. I promise that.
Kind of a waste outside of a camera, in my opinion, but it'd prob be good fly oriented.
It's fun, I will admit that.

Hope this helps someone. Best I could do solo with a cell phone camera. Tried doing it on a jig head but Cldnt figure out how to hold positions without an extra hand. Thought it easier to explain this away

Heres the basic setup. Consider the blue line your hook

With your jig n hook in your vice, like so, facing you

Basically you have two diff colors of chenille, lace, yarn, hemp, leather, etc etc. tied in like you would normally with one piece.
My demonstration pieces are two diff colors: orange n green.

I wanted green on bottom, FISH VIEW (according to the way that I put my jigs in the vice) so that's my #1 step always.

The opposing color, org, will be on top.

The pics are self explanatory. I basically say to myself "over, over, under, through". 4 steps and then cinch. Its just like tying a bunch of knots for this particular one.

The only throw off is to always do the #1 step WITH THE SAME COLOR when you restart the 4 steps from the last time.

CINCH IT DOWN AND REPEAT.
Remember to start with the SAME color.(mine was green)
Over, over, under, through.

cinch it down and just repeat Til you get back your LEaD head an tie off.

Should end up with orange on top n green on bottom, weaves on sides.

Did this'n with one of azslabber's painted heads. Tried to incorporate that "aero" tail technique mabob that fish 4 all posted.
