I just got off the phone with the folks at Bobby Garland, and the Monster Fest will held on October 27th and 28th, at Ft. Gibson Lake in Oklahoma once again this year. More details to follow.

Good news--I was hoping it would be a repeat event!
What is Monster Fest???
good for this I knew it was undecided till now will be a good time again
Can't wait since I missed it last year due to family...This year its on....Ranger
Ranger09 - Again, what is Monster Fest???? Is it similar to the Expo, of sorts, at the Missouri Crappie Store? The name slips my mind.
It is a 2 day fishing tournament sponsored by Crappie Pro and Bobby Garland.
It has a pro side and an amateur side...and if its put on by Garland and Crappie Pro its done up right.......Ranger
Sorry George I didnt see your post until now have to sleep sometimes u no...lol......Ranger
THANK YOU!:biggrin sleep?, sleep? what is that?
Well you know its first day of muzzleloader season here in Oklahoma so all of us need to help promote this event heavily Bobby Garland Crappie Pro would like to see more boats than last year so lets get together and make this a big event for them
Eb and I will have a booth at the Beast Feast on the 11th of this month and I plan on having a laminated flyer promoting the Monster Fest on Gibson..will be around 1000 men and sons there so it might get the word out some....Stop by and say hi if you make it to the Beast Feast.
I thought last year, with it being the first year, was really well done. It seemed to go off good, and I think most everyone had a good time. The "seminar" session on the evening before was informative. I didn't fish, but I was there for the final weigh in. I haven't fished Gibson ever, so I probably wont enter, but I plan to be there to learn all I can.
Woodworker42, don't overlook that there is going to be two (2) divisions........ Armature and a Pro side.
We need the Oklahoma crappie fisherman to represent big time, so that we can start getting some more tournaments in what is one of the greatest crappie states there is.
Thanks-
looked at the Beast Feast site and it looks fun. Curious, I see that advanced ticket purchase is required. can you buy on line somewhere or do I have to drive to Muskogee to get tickets? Would love to take my little brother there.
I'm there this year! EB
