We'd need a big truck for that haul. A bus to get us all there for the day.
Actually, I have a good 18 ft tlr and it'll haul all of it and I have a place to store it until needed. Just need one on a chain saw and three loading, couple hrs and u got more than u cud use in a while. Good thing about it is it's FREE for the taking.
Would like to see some tied up to make a good crappie cover, got access to plenty here but figure it will take a good bit of wieght to keep it down.
Cut the tops off at 12 to 16 foot for brush piles. Cut the rest into stakes about 5 to 6 foot long. Bundle the stakes 20 to 30 per. Load tops first and cover with bundles. Shouldn't need as many tie downs that way.
I'd be willing to ride with someone to get a trailer load.
Cane, why cant some of the bigger stuff be tied together to make something similar to the PVC crappie huts? Would have to be dropped in water that wont ever get shallow on it for it to stay together I would think but should work
Rees, pretty much if someone has an idea of the way they want to build a condo, we'll build it. We have a section here that some people post their ideas and I like most of them too.
I'm waiting on this house dealing thing to settle before buying anything for now, even a few bags of crete. I sold or gave away my lawn service co. today, getting to old for that hot work. I have some 4" pvc, 3 to 6 foot pieces. I'm looking for more. I can set them in concrete for some boo condos. Another idea, dig a hole about the size of the milk crate. Drive a stake into the hole at different angels place the boo into those holes then cover with crete and water. Different ideas of the way to build them won't hurt anything. Have a bunch laying down and some standing, all will work.
Cool, thanks for the info.
I'd be willing to help.
Ok, EZ it looks like it up to you to call a work day to get the boo.
I'm in, I have a truck, no trailer, no chainsaw. But a leaning hand.
Where's it going? Nader?
Actually, I thought there would be at least half dozen around here that wanted to set out some in THE REZ, but doesn't seem to be enough interest, and it's way too far for you. But thx anyway. I'm gonna get some roots to start some in a swampy area at the farm.
That is a lil far of a drive for us northwest corner guys to get a lil boo
we got more boo here than the lake bottom will hold.
Everyone is waiting for you to plant it so they can get the map from you. They want easy pickins without the sweat. Call a work day, a week or 2 weeks from now. I'll come, but will haul what I cut to nader. I would like some help for driving that far. A trailer and a couple of hands would be nice. We had over a ton of material at butla and only covered about a quarter of the cove we were working, if that much. We could call 10 work days and 10 hab. days and still not cover butla as some of us think it should be. All the lakes need lots of help. I gave up my income, I have the free time now to help.
Sorry to say this to some. That huny do list, let huny do it. That's what Chris told me. If I break a nail, I can grow a new one.
We are not at war so no paint or make up.
What's the date?
Just got to much to do right now with it. This is how I did it a couple years ago. All were about 10 feet tall.
I can help any day but Monday.
