I'd go with 2 new battery's that way the older one won't pull the new one down
Yes go with two new ones as above
2 new ones for sure. Keep other for backup. Ask around and maybe find a couple old cores some where.
Just a thought but maybe you should wait til December to upgrade to the I-Link. If I would of known about it 6 months ago I wouldn't have upgraded then.
I agree, the new one way more features and is only a few months from being released. I'd wait and get it.
And go with 2 new batteries. If this one is still good and you night fish, you could use it to power your lights.
If you dont pull cranks you can use a 12v. system. I have a 12v 55 PD and can spider rig all day. Can pull cranks for 5 or 6 hrs, depending on the wind. Im hooked up to 2 12v.
Same here.Quote:

i haven't started pulling cranks yet,but i will be going to the 70# thrust and i believe i'll need 2 deep cycles right?
thanks for all the good info guys.
If you got the coin and the room, check these out. You'll pull crank baits for 8+ hours easily with the 220AH batteries. Group 31's aren't half that.

how are these better than agm batteries
Went by Sam's in South Haven today to check on some AGM batteries. Duracell brand. Look suspiciously like US Batts. The 31 series AGM said 105 Amp Hours. Didn't see anything listed for reserve capacity. The Duracell wet cell, 31 series said 225 minutes @23amps. Sam's has the bad boy golf cart batts also.

hi can anyone school me on the battery specs 225@25a i dont know what thats telling me.
225 should be the number of minutes it would hold up under a constant 25 amp load.
so i need to know what load i will be putting the motor under right? i really dont know what the load will will be.i dont really run too many things on the boat while ii'm fishing other than the fishfinder and the troller.
