i was thinking you can--but I'm having trouble getting them to load myself--user error I am sure. I can't remember if the file has to be GPX or something else.

You can purchase the Navionics PC app ($20) and it will let you open a map of your lake 0n your PC, then you can zoom in or out, mark waypoints and download to a clean SD card and transfer that to your HB DF. I have a Navionics chip in mine and I can also transfer WP from the HP to the PC using the SD card.
Having said that, I am experiencing a file read error that has me stumped. However, it has worked like a charm for the past 2 years.

Forgot to add that I could not find a way to get the Navionics map chip to open on my PC. I had to use the PC app to mark WPs and then transfer to the HB. I am not sure you can write to the Map card, was never sure when I added the WPs from my PC to my HB if it was on the map card or the actual hard drive of the depth finder. You can do this without a mapping card which made me think it is updating the HB not the Navionis chip I have in it.
Anybody know for sure??

After u have registered ur bird, u can then download hbpc and it will help u manage ur waypts. Works great, Uses google earth.. Amazing
Transfer waypoints to and from ff and pc with any good sd card except ur nav card, it needs to stay write protected.
Ok EZ I got all that . i have the hbpc down loaded and reg both birds . I did this when i bought them . Can i use the same card I use for my snapshots ?

what I would like to do is punch in the coordinates .((you know all them you going to send )) and put them on my map in my bird . seems like you could just punch and download them on a card and then in the bird. tomuch thinking for one night got my head to hurting .
Also, navionics offers the app for free now, if you bought a chip.
It puts them on the chip. And loads them it to hb once chip is installed.

Ken, after I select some way points on hbpc I put them on a sd card and when I put the sd card into my unit it will automatically update the ff with my new waypoints.
I may not be sure what the question is..

If u have the sd card in the ff when u set a wp, it will put it on the card for u..
i'M STILL TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO DOWN LOAD THE WAY PTS ON THE CARD TO THE COMPUTER . I THINK IT SHOULD BE SIMPLE BUT I HAVEN'T GOTTEN IT YET . BUT IT IS YOUR FAULTS I STAYED UP TO LATE LAST NIGHT . lol
