I think my first choice is a Ruger SR22, next a Walter P22. Anyone got any advice on either? Local shop has the P22 but not the SR22 so can't handle it.

I have a Ruger. Fine piece!! Don't know about the Walther but I do have a Walther PPK .380. I really like it also!!!
Both are good fun shooting guns. Can not go wrong either way
I have a Ruger MK II target pistol with a 5 and a half inch bull barrel, and I also have the Walther P22. I like them both. The Walther is really nice and is compact and light weight and very well made.
Well trade in a couple hats and just get . Can't have enough guns or ammo

Have a p22. I am not impressed. I have shot alot of rugers and Brownings. They are top notch.
Have you looked at the sig ?
I got the camo sig in .22 and love it.
