Considering a new charger for my boat. Was thinking it would be nice to have a 4 bank so I could hit all three trolling bateries and the outboard together. Are these made to distinquish the cranking battery from the deep cycles?

Hope so, I just got a minn kota 460
It will take care of your cranking battery and your TM batterys ok. It makes no difference to the charger what type of battery its charging.
Tell him about mixing old batteries with new ones "G"... He can't see my post... I'm on his _____ list....LOL

DI yourselves a favor and label the wiring and batteries well to distinguish batt 1, 2, 3 and 4. Gets confusing with all the extra wires hither and yon.
It will work fine. They're smart chargers and they know what they are doing. If you're cranking battery is charged the MK will cycle that bank off first. Cranking battery usually won't need any charging, but it sure is nice to have it fully charged after setting for long spells.
sorry gator......what did you say???? can't hear you.....you must be on my list, lol
ES you should just sell that yankee rig to Gil and be done with it.Rofl
Don't know about Minkota but the 3 I have owned have all had a wire tagged for cranking. Don't know why or if It would make any difference.
My MK440 is labeled 1, 2, 3, 4.
