Just put a new set of Toyos on the Tacoma. They arent the cheapest tires out there but in my opinion they are the best tires on the market.

I had to reshoe my pickup yesterday! Drove back home to a local dealer that I always do business with, only a 600 mile trip yesterday! 4 - LT265/75R16 Firestone Transforce 10 ply with lifetime balance, and rotation with road hazard warranty. Tax and mounting included $1010.58. They started out at about $1100.00 then I reminded him how many tires I had purchased from him since last December! 2 for the RV and 4 for the wifes Explorier.
I do alot of driving on blacktop roads and alot of high speed highway miles. I pull lots of trailers with heavy loads and I don't like to slow down when its raining. I don't like the Transforce that much in snow, I figure that is why I have 4 wheel drive. But as far as mud and rain they work great! They don't hydoplane that much pulling trailers.
