Old Photo's contest - Through the end of August 2012.
I want to get this out here now so you all can start digging through your old photos. The TJ Stallings article on the home page reminded me how cool old fishing photo's can be.
Make sure the photo's are your's and that you didn't just pull it off the Internet somewhere.
Prizes to be announced soon. We got time on this contest.
I'd prefer them to be old black and white pictures, and I'd like a little story to go with the picture.
Post your pictures in this thread.
Disclaimer: rules and prizes subject to change without notice.
I added what is pictured as the prize:

Daddy & Grandpa circa early 1950's
Attachment 97801 This photo was taken on the bridge @ Lake Secession (the oldest man-made lake in South Carolina) back in the early 50's....glad they didn't have a size limit, cause Grandpa ate everyone he caught. The wooden bridge is long gone, Grandpa passed in the early 70's and my dad just turned 88 years old. He still enjoys looking at my catches and sits beside the fryer when I'm cooking crappie.

The b&w photo of my dad we just found! Lost my mom a couple days ago so I don't have any details about it. It was always a fight between my mom, who always wanted to fish for "The Big One" Northern Pike, and my Dad who just wanted to relax while Crappie fishing. Mom always seemed to win that battle....

My Grandfather Pickwick Dam 1953
The first picture of fish were at caught at Pickwick Dam in 1953 by my Grandfather Mr. Gilbert Sartain and a friend Fat Poe on Pap's Hair Jigs, these two stringers were caught in three hours of fishing, the other pictures are of fish, him and his friends caught at Pickwick on the same jigs he hand tied. Everyone that sees the pictures of him with a suit on ask why, the reason that most of the pictures we have of him with his suit on and fish are beacause he drove a Trailways bus and when he got off he usually went straight to the lake, I still tie jigs the way he taught me years ago and my Love for fishing also came from his Love for fishing, I hope everyone enjoys these pictures as I look at them often because he was absolutley my best friend and fishing partner in life.
