I guess the high water last year skeered them corps guys.
I am sorry I know there are some Corps guys on this site. And most of them are not the problem! Its their moron pencil pusher bosses! Look at how they screwed up things last year starting in South Dakota, right down the Missouri river to the Mississippi river. Look at all the losses of Missouri farmland in the bootheel part of the state. Some of the river towns in Iowa will never be a town again. And what was done about it? Nothing! Did anyone lose their jobs? Nope! But several people lost their homes!
I dont find any blame with the COE on the Big 4 and the water levels, they followed and will continue to follow the rule curve, we just have not had any rain. Sucks that I cant use a ramp 10 minutes from my house but it is what it is. The spawn next year, if we can get some rain at the rite time, will be great, will be plenty of junk for the fry to hide in. The guys p at Butla are doing the rite thing, making lemonade out of lemons. Putting out some fih habitat is an awesome idea and I hope we can do the same down here on Nader and at Enid.
A habitat day can be planned for each of the lakes. Maybe better with 2 different days. One on the north side and one for the south side. A launchable ramp for those that will sink condos and maybe another for those that will build stake beds and brush piles. A source of material close by. A host that will organize things with the lake manager. Maybe a dinner after the days work is done.
As for me, I plan to set camp at Nader and Enid the friday of the habitat days. I'll pick up a load of boo and try to have it cut for saturday morning.
Did you find any crank bait or other baits out there, i could be like that guy that retrieves golf balls out of the ponds and resell em.
looks like an oasis in the middle of the sahara desert!
If you find 5 of em hung on the same box/log give me a holler! Thems is mine
That's a good idea. Gonna cover more ground the next trip down there. Might have to look up to find cranks! Where the water was!!
