Does any one know of a public outdoor range I can sight in a few rifles out to like 300 yards or as little as 100 yards.
I know there is one down around Jackson but that's a long drive and I can't find one any closer.

Mine too. My son sights in rifles for all his friends right outside my back yard.
Yeah it sucks victims
That's part of the reason I sold most of my stuff. No where to shoot it.

That's where I do mine also
Drag your boat to nader and fesh and then we will go site em in, plenty of distance here.
When I was at Turcotte a couple of weeks ago the State Range Officer was there and said they have two more ranges being built. Don't know exactly where or when they are supposed to open but you could give them a call and find out.
Well aint you sweet

No public range in N MS.
Desoto Rifle and Pistol Club at Como.
You want to shoot one day? no weekends.
They were building a club at Senatobia but I havent heard anything about it lately, dues werent gonna be bad.
I just need to sight in a 270win , 45-70 and a 300RUM. I use to have a place hear close but the guy passed away and his wife don't want any guns fired so I just bow/crossbow hunt there now.
There used to be a club range east of Hernando but I think it closed. Only other range I know of in DeSoto is the city range in Southaven. Unfortunately it's law enforcement only. Lots of private ranges out there. Make friends with a landowner, or become one are your only real options if you want to shoot on a regular basis.
Where you at, I may can hook you up in the Nesbit area
Not looking to go shoot just traded some scopes around and need to sight them back in I got some land but it's all woods and makes it really hard to sight a rifle in.
I live in Horn Lake.
When are you wantin to do it?
Later this fall when it cools down as I don't want to burn up my barrel on my 300 it is a large round with ALOT of powder.
Aight, just let me know.
Go down and use the lake bottom at butla, aint no water in it gotta use it for something bet you could get some good distance. :biggrin
Yeah i know just maybe you could put it to good use, we always used an old gravel pit down the road were i grew up, but last time i saw it it was fenced off.
i almost joined that place a few years back-
