You should get in touch with ES. I hear tell he really knows how to train them pups.
You got a long ways to go, if you are gonna keep her you gonna have to show her who's boss and like NOW. If you are serious about getting rid of her you shouldnt have any prob if she has any sense at all but ifn you slack on the discipline then she will be nothing but a pain. good luck
Labs are easy to train, but not while you're at work!!! They DO dig, and you ain't gonna train that outta one unless you're there!!! Black dogs get hot in 95 degree weather, and they will dig to get cooler. Surprised she ain't swimming in the Minner pond!!!

She didn't dig she ate... Corn, sqush, cucumbers, didn't mess with tomatoes... And she does get in pond... But not much.

Gator I have a tri Tronics collar you can use. Put it on and let wife have control when she gets you trained then start on the dog.
If you arent planning on raising pups then I would have her fixxed as soon as the Vet will do it, this will help as well. You can discipline her for things she has done while you werent there, sh know s. They are smart dogs, too smart some times tho.
Yea, she's going to vet 1st of the month, to get fixed, shots and dew claw removed.
This is my second lab. Got one when I was 16 and had him for 14 years. When he died I said I would never have another dog. He was the best dog ever. Took him squirrel hunting all the time. Great dog!

I would take nothing for mine, she's 5 now and I hope to have her for a good while. Mine is as hardheaded as they come I believe but when it comes to retrieving thats not a bad thing, its amazing what she will go into during dove season to retrieve a bird. Wish I had known more about training her but she does good, spot on on a blind retrieve and takes hand signals well, even in the water.
Stick with her and she will be the pet to your daughter that your first one was to you.
