Hey man, that's great. MK is a great company..
Now attache the cables to the batteries with wing nuts instead of duct tape.
Thats great.....what model did you get?

Hush skeeter or I'll sho you a use fo duct tape you ain't nary thought of before LOL has something to do with Billbob and Ned Beatty though LMBO
Have to look at the manual G but the lights are different though. instead of just Red, Yellow and green, now I they blink at certain stages of charging. BTW, I HATE that you only got enough room for your hands in the center console. No room at all to work in
Mine is the 330D.....I really like it. I know what you mean about no room to work

Good deal!
You can tell model also by how many lights you have One set, two sets, three sets, four sets, determines model. Or at least in a certain range of models anyways.
Well to a certain extent....a three bank is going to have three sets of lights but how many amps per bank is determined by the model number....example MK 325 is 3 banks 15 amp total output or 5 amps per bank, a MK330 is 3 bank , 30 amp total output, 10 amps per bank, and a MK 345 is 3 bank, 45 amps total output and 15 amps per bank.
it's a 330, just not sure what model
MK has GREAT customer service
It's a 330D ya wangnut. D stands for digital. As in ones and zeroes. Pretty sure they wasted a good one in you though on account if you being a zero and all.
And if you used wingnuts, I'll disown you completely. And don't forget the dielectric grease neither ya ignernt.

Close, Mines SPECIAL WB. they told me so lol Mine actually IS special. It's made for a Triton boat and the cables are 2 feet longer
BTW I DID use wang nuts but I got enough grip to tighten em up where they won;t flop off
Glad you got it fixed DD. Now you can get back to fishing.Thumbs Up
Did you double check it with your new multi-meter?
Seriously, wingnuts? After all you have been through? I bet your thumbs can't put down half the pressure of what my 1/2" ratchet can.
Glad you got the new charger but please get rid of the wing nuts and use nylocks.
I like the wang nuts personally. I can tighten them up just fine where they won;t move. You just don;t understand how little room I got to work in under the console. I can bearly get both hands in there
Perzackerly why u want to use nylocks ya Wang nut. Do it right the FIRST time. Prolly them wang nuts what rurnt to charger in da first place.
Wannabe...
replace the wingnuts with nuts.........you cannot get the wingnuts tight enough
a good connection....you use a nut....thats what 95 of the boat shops recommend. wingnuts are junk
DD I'm proud for you.
I'm sure he used stainless wangnuts? Didn't ya? C'mon DD, tell us ya did! Awe hail, I'm jus messin with y'all. I'm not sure bout nuthin that boy does and neither is he.
Tell Nessa to get on this thread. If we want it done right, we'll hafta go thru the brains of that operation.

Guess it depends on if its steel or plated gold. Some metals carry current better than others. I use to not use wing nuts either, always used a lock nut. But then I saw a boat this guy had who I grew up fishing around and he showed me this set up I have used ever since. Some wing nuts are also thinner than others and can break even. Oh and if it says china on the package the metal is far less conductive than even American steel is. It will still conduct electricity don't get me wrong, but if you use gold or even platinum you get better contact and current rates. I aint a electrician, just what several have told me.
But if you don't use a lock washer the wing nut will back off on you from bumps and vibrations over time. Especially if the threads have some play in them.
The nut does not have to be a perfect conductor......all it has to do is hold the battery cable end down tight against the battery post.....the actual connection is made between the battery post and the cable end or terminal. The nut really just holds those two things together tight. This is why the nut is better than a wing nut, it can be tightened tighter. I have stainless steel nuts on all of my boat batterys.
Bout time you bit the bullet
Each other, duh! Ha! Naw most batteries you can safety wire to where handle attaches on the side
Stainless is good but brass is the best...
