The year started out great, but-the summer is shot. Blew my knee up, surgery was on 6-5-12. Surgery went well but will take bout 6 weeks to recoup. Don't fish too much in July-August. Lookin forward to October, my favorite time to fish!!

Good luck to ya. I've been there 3 times in the past 9 years. Great fishing and FALL CAMP in October.

Sorry to hear it. Make sure to do all the PT they tell you to as much as you think you don't need it. It will make a huge differance. You will be ready for the great fall fishing and cooler weather.

I feel your pain buddy. I tore my MCL a few years back and my wife has blown her left knee twice and right knee once all three time required surgery for her. I was lucky enough not to need surgery. You probably already have one but if not i recommend the little cooler looking deal that pumps ice water threw the pad to ice your knee with they are much better than the frozen bag of pees.
Hang in there , doctor told me to stay sitting down so I found a driver for the front of the boat!!!!!!

Good luck with your knee. Ripped my ACL apart 6 years ago. Had surgery and kept right on hunting and fished more than ever. Had a great time but still put up with the pain today. If I had to do over I would probably take the doctors advice. Take care.

been there had 4 scope surgerys b4 they replaced the right knee gona get the right hip replace this tueday. hope it takes care of the limp
Cliff had a friend that had that hip done two years ago and hes said he wished that they would have done it sooner!! ( they didnt want to do it till he got a little older)Quote:

Thanks guys, gettin along great. Really doing the exercises and trying to get back up quick. No pain no gain. Also took this opportunity to quit smokin, haven't had a smoke since Tuesday and feelin great. Done-finished-quit!!!!!!! Think maybe two weeks I can be back on the water but not steady on my leg. Oh well, the water will be plenty warm.
Take care of that knee and make sure it heals properly. It might seem like a loooong time for recovery for ya but you aint missing too much during the heat of the summer anyway. You'll be ready for fall.;)
