a while back we made some pill jigs I got to thinking about taking a jig insert and flatten it out to see what it would look like here is the results I believe that this is a 1/32oz.

very nice Bob
Not sure I call that a pill head as the ones I have are just round. So that one looks like a longer type that you flattened out huh? Looks good though, got the shape of a minnow or little fish.
Good job,
Skip
went through this one pretty fast Skip I didn't get a chance really to finish it up as we did not put any clear coat on it I think they would work fine in different color patterns will try to post more in the future but I believe that they would have a different type of action in the water.
very nice Bob
as always paint job looks great
Very nice - have just the regular tube insert mold but wonder what that one would look like have to pull one out and try it.
That's a good looking jig. Should be a HOT color too.Thumbs Up
That will work Bob. Glad you are feeling a little better. Do not overdo it. Take it easy.
Looks good to me, good work on the paint.
Good paint job Snake. Yes I did a bunch of my custom jig heads that way and wasn't happy how they turned out but do like the way that your insert turned out. May have to get one of those molds and play around with it. Never know until you start to experiment as to how stuff will turn out.
Redman
They look awesome, good job!
I like it! Skinny profile to go through weeds and along underwater structure with a wider profile from the sides for adding larger eyes and doing more detail paint jobs.
:popcornI like it. Do you have an opinion on "red eyes" on a jig head like that?
I'm having a problem finding jig heads with "red eyes" that protrude like those.
If you decide to mass produce 'em, PM me.
I made these a few years ago from the same idea. Covered in mylar.

NightProwler
they look fantastic I do remember when you posted these quite a while back and they are awesome I have not messed around with that material enough I believe that in the past I have tied up of very few trout flies using it making them into screamers but I have not tried it making jigs I would probably use clear lacquer on the GPS and get it into glitter we do enjoy messing with powder paint is you can do quite a few different things with it you can let your mind run wild mixing the stuff we will have to post more of those type of jigs in the future with different color schemes.
thanks guys for all the wonderful comments we enjoy making up stuff like this though I do not have a list of them on my site but we will think about this in the future adding these I think they are awesome looking and I think they would have a completely different action in the water though I have not tried them myself but we're going to have to do so pretty quick when the water clears up in the river behind the house I use it for my test testing on smallmouth bass we are very fortunate to have a good population of smallmouth bass within 50 feet of my doorstep. If they do run up the Powder River in the spring in order in the rivers throughout the summer months they range from very small on up to three in 4 pounds.
Nice idea, I think I will mash some jig heads we put inside of the hollow tube jig and shape them with a dremel. Thanks
Nice one! that color should do the job!
