Any of y'all ever tried pulling cranks at night. Especially with this full moon I think it might work. Can you even fish on Grenada at night?

I would be carefull if you do man, alot of stumps, rocks, shallow water to run on at night. Kinda be hard for them to pick up on them at night. Mabey just slow trolling or using a light. If you go please wear your pfd and tell someone where your going! dont just tell us lol, pack a buddy if you can!
Dont know how much you have run the lakes at night during the full moon but its not that bad, would rather be out there in a full moon than at the break of day. As far as pulling cranks, this shouldnt be an issue either, I personally would be pulling in water I had already marked in the daytime.
Olemisstudent, if you try it keep us posted.
I did it on Wolf and thought I was getting a handle on it a couple years ago. I'm not a spring chicken and got scared of something happening to me in the dark so I quit. It works, but takes some trial and error.
Only trolling I do at night is In a bar. Oh yeah and the color $green$ seems to work best for me. Good luck and try NOT to catch anything!!
This might be what the doctor ordered.. a red led crank bait....
Might be the perfect bait for night feeshin....

so you're going to Kemper, clear water, big fish, if'n you can find'em, i know a guy who used to slay the bass down there pulling cranks. trouble is it's full of specks which are structure oriented and that's not condusive to pullin' cranks. Good luck :biggrin. let me know when you're gonna try it on some white crappie
Heck, what ya need lights fer?

Enid's fish are giants compared to tibby
Color did not seem to matter that much, Rees. What mattered most for me was not to troll in daytime spots. I had to learn to go where the fishes were and that meant shallower water than normal. Once you got used to it, you could almost predict where they would be by the weather conditions. Cloudy, breezy nights meant they would be up against banks close to deeper water. Calm nights you could find'em scattered on shallow flats in 6 feet of water. Bandit 200's worked pretty good. Moon phase did not seem to affect the fishes that much. I had a lot of fun with this till I wound up in the drink one night and the boat ran off and left me. Let us know how it works for you
Can't agree with you more! Personally, only thing I would do different is to not pull cranks, if on Grenada or Sardis. I would work the timber spider rigging minnows and jigs with a black light shining on the ends of my poles. Hi-vis line will look like #2 pencils running through the guides. Haven't tried it, but bet it would work. Beats hanging $35 worth of baits on a gill net. I just like to fish slow, especially at night.
