What do they mean?At home or with you.
With ya
yep what you have with you
Does it make a difference if they have been cleaned or not?
I believe the possesion limit here is 2 or 3 days worth of the limit. What if you are camping for say a week or so and are fortunate enough to limit on more than 3 of he days you fish (not a problem I'm likely to have)? Do the fish you have cleaned count against the limit? How would they count them, 2 filiets=1 fish?
Cleaned fesh count.
start eatin em, breakfast, lunch and dinner, or chunk em back in da lake..........
This law is to keep people from coming here and catching fish for a week or two and them taking then home to sell.

On page 42 of the Mississippi Outdoor Digest this is clarified. One limit in one day and may transport 7 daily limits for each angler. Each angler must transport his/her own fish. So if you follow the daily limits and catch a limit each day for 7 days you can transport them to your home.
I have heard people say that out of state fisherman sell their catch. I have yet to see any proof of this. Tennessee is the only state that allowed crappie to be sold in eateries. Most all states have laws prohibiting the sale and or purchase of game fish. My bad. I did see a sign not long ago from Maryland that advertised crappie fillets for sale. If anyone has any documented proof of the sale of crappie, please post it.
Thanks guys was just wondering.I really shouldn't have a problem,we eat them real fast.Plus don't care about trying to clean the lake out.
each st. is differnt had a game warden in KY tell me and canepole if it ie frosen it is like prosesed food and no count on it how do you have a fish fry at mons house with all the kin????
Fish or game in your freezer AT HOME does not count for possession limit in Arkansas. If you are camping and have a freezer then it does count against the possession limit. The key here is your primary place of residence.

Yeah, I've heard all this trash about northern anglers from various states catching two truck loads of crappie and selling em back home. Where's the documentation? I've never read an article about anyone catching that many to sell. I've HEARD lots of rumors tho. If ya have Proof, please post it!!!!

BRM, maybe yankees are alot better fisherman than we are.Cause I don't catch that many fish.
"It also says that All game fish must be intact ( with head, tail, skin, and scales) while fishing areas with established MDWFP length limits."
That's while your on or at the waters edge. Can't be felaying those fish in the middle of the lake.
Don't know about fish or other game but waterfowel in your frezzer at home goes aginst your possion limit if the Fed's check.
DonDon posted this on another board, the site says the fish are caught in Canada.......

Not quite what we're talking about, is it. What we're looking for is proof that people are coming to MS, catching huge amounts of crappie, returning home and selling them. If you read that post you will see that they catch the fish after you order them.
If I was catching fish to sell, I'd have to have $300 lb. to break even.
I dont want to even think about that.
I have seen the pics even posted one but as far as selling em I have NO first hand knowledge and personally dont care what they do with em when they get home. If me and a couple of folks were traveling to fish for a week I see no harm in putting em in a freezer to carry home.:dono
There are a lot of pick-ups on the road with freezers in the bed. The ones I see are peddling frozen meats. Got one comes by here on a regular route.
Now, Rockmike, you're taking the thunder out of their statement. You are correct. The cost of coming here and catching that many fish, processing them and selling them would be cost prohibitive. And those advertised from Canada are probably heavily regulated by the government.
I don't care if they were ever their from carries 50,000 fish home and sells them all. No skin off my tail.

Now don't get riled up, Gator. Ain't nobody tryin to start nuthin.
I fish Washington quite a bit, and I see freezers in trucks pretty often in the spring over there. Some of those folks may stay a few weeks at a time.
