23 lb smallmouth Buffalo in Jones' Lake (Felsenthal) two winters ago on 6 lb line......snagged in the dorsal fin with a Bobby Garland Baby Shad (Vegas). Took 40 minutes and he pulled my boat around like a trolling motor all over the place.....Had some GOOD buffalo ribs that night!!! A lot of fun catchin' and eatin'!!!
Only about a 16 lb blue cat on 6 lb hi vis. It still took a while.
David (Blue Thunder) caught a 16 lb buffalo at the Rockpile one day when trolling with me. Luv them ribs!!!

I didnt catch this but a buddy did this spring at the lower lake on Sardis. 12ft Pinnacle with 6lb test. He let it go. After doing a little research it was probably pushing the state record. Probably would of found a way to weigh it if he would of know.
