This is a remodel job we done a while back. Check out the handrails on the proch. My brain was sore after building these lol. The lady wanted the brick painted on the house when we finished everything. So we did lol. Think it turned out nice. I love this old house. Would sell mine and buy this one tomorrow if it was possible. We also done the concrete work and put all new windows in the house. Anyway, not fishin pics but thought some of u might enjoy.

I have an airless sprayer and yes we pressure washed the brick then primed it with a block sealer then put the paint on. I would recommend putting a semigloss paint on everything on the outside. It stays cleaner and in my opinion lasts a whole lot longer,Quote:

Trying to figure out all those angles would make my head hurt for sure. For a minute there I thought I was suppose to stare at it and try to see a hidden image. Great job!
Man I tell ya , while I was building them, {make a mitre cut drink a coors light, make another cut, drink another and so on lol} i was seening some hidden images alrite.:biggrinQuote:

nice work and nice house, I think I could live in it as well, like the overall appearance of it. I've seen those rails before, and get a migraine just thinking about 'em, but they are nice. would hate to paint 'em after their up tho.
Very nice! Those hand rails do look like a pain to paint.
Used the airless sprayer to paint them before I istalled them. Have them mounted to columns with wood screws so we can take them down and respray them later if needed.Quote:

Reminds me of a Sears commercial on nascar a few years back. This guy is upstairs with all these sears tools, showing what all they will do. he says, "my wife wants." Chris looks at me and says "where is the wife?" We sent lots of emails about that commercial. It was deleted.
My wife got a metal birdbath from her son for mother's day. Monday she takes it out of the box to put it together. 3 hours later I take over, it's in the flowerbed in 5 minutes.
Is she reading the wrong books or watching the wrong tv programs?

Yes I agree , flat paint fades pretty quickly but if you paint with a gloss or satin finish like most people use on the trim it will last a very long time.
