Fall Crappie camp 2

Looking into try'n to hold a Fall Crappie camp about Sept. on Nimrod. If we do how many folks interested in helping? Do we have any business's out there willing to help sponsor or donate for expenses as pavillion rent and prizes? Like usual if we have a fish fry or cookout. We may ask everyone to bring something or donate a few dollars on the cookout. Maybe even have a big fish contest too. I organized the one last year and it is a big task. Who would like to help? What dates would be best in Sept.? Let's hear from everyone that even might be interested . I had considered Dardanelle but water lice (pleasure boaters) can be out. Fishing is usually better on Nimrod in hot weather and everyone caught fish here last time.

Like I told you the other day I will help in any way I can. Any weeked in Sept. will work for me.

I'll be there.

I won't be a lot of help in leg work as I'm busy enough right now with work and honey-dos. However, I am willing to donate money, food, or other items to help make it successful. I missed the Chicot camp and don't want to miss this one! Are we going to make Carter Cove home base?

Most likely cause it has most room and is central area of the lake. Please feel free to pass on any suggestions.

Me and CK101 will be there. Once again no foot work will be provided but funding and prizes will be there.

I would love to go, ut that is a little too far out for me to commit to anything as of now.

I will make this camp. Making it a priority.

Been study'n the calendar and wondering if anyone had a problem with Sept. 8 & 9 ? That is before hunting season and after the last hoilday. Maybe have a burger supper one night and fish fry next night. I will kick in planning soon with everyone's feed back. Last year did not start planning early enough . Maybe more folks will be able to make plans.

Hey fish where is a good place to stay close to Nimrod Lake if you don,t have a camper or tent?Best directions from conway to Nimrod Lake?

Are there any hotel/motels in the area at all?

I guess I missed the vote on where it would be held? I thought dardanelle was being considered???

Either place will work for me, but like the idea of camping...hard to camp when on Dardanelle...lol

No one steped up to the plate to get it going at Dardanell so Nimrod steped up to have it at Lake Nimrod. I bet Nimrod would step down if you would like to head it up for Dardanelle. I hope this doesn't sound like I'm trying to be a wise a____

What he said and Nimrod is usually good in hot weather. If someone wants to take over it is fine. It's easier to run things here for me and some of my help live right here. Everyone caught fish last time on Nimrod. Just step up and I will gladly ease out and help with what I can. Thanks for everyone's help whether I run it here or someone else runs it on Dardanelle.

Closest is Dardanelle about 25 miles away.

I'm game this country boy will be their good job on getting it going Nimrod.

i am in in. i will help in whatever way i can . meet lots of great people last time i was there and had a ball.

We had a ball last year at Nimrod camping. I will be glad to come back and eat and catch your fish Nimrod. You guys did a great job. As last year, being 4 hours no leg work will be provided but funds will be.

Went to the last one on Nimrod and will make this one. Just tell me what I have to do to make this a success.

Found out Jerry at Andrews bait and more may have a rental trailer for that weekend for someone looking to stay without a camper.

There is a motel in dardanelle, but a much better selection, and much better rooms, 6 more miles away in Russellville. That puts you about 40 minutes or less from the Nimrod boat ramps. DO you have to be a Crappie.com member to come to camp. I read this every day , but have never joined !! Maybe that needs to be my next priority.

We attended spring camp and would love to come to fall camp!! Our Sippi c.com championship is in Sept but the date has not been selected. If able we would love to come and help/donate anyway possible!!!

Glad You stepped UP Nimrod, holding camp at Nimrod is great. I work weekends in the fall months and we are very busy at that time of year, but ill try to see If I can make it. I like the dates you mentioned also.

Afraid I made a typo, that Friday and Saturday will be Sept 7 & 8. But everyone welcome to stay and fish Sunday too.

We already have several folks donating prizes and giveaways. If you know anyone in the fishing business does'nt hurt to invite them to help out.

Is there anything on or close to the lake. Camping really not an option for me at this time.

Jerry at Andrews Bait and More may have a trailer for rent. Otherwise it's Dardanelle hotel or Harris Brake Lake has a Motel.
