Guys I barely know any of you. But i like the fellowship on here and I look foward to laying eyes on all of you sooner or later. I have no dog in this hunt so take what I say with a grain of salt. About 10 years ago we had a local crappie club here in my home town of Louisville. Fished it 4 years and had the time of my life. Always looked foward to the fellowship and tourneys every 2 weeks. To make a long story short we had a problem with some rules violations { very very minor ones} similar to what I am gathering here. In the end it broke our club up. Everyone got too serious about the tourneys and everything. When you put someone in charge to make decisions you gotta back him up. Sit down as the friends you all are and work it out so you dont have this happen again. I was Tourney D and then Sec Treas for 2 years. Its a learning experience. Yoo will learn what to do and what not do. Just hate to see this happen to all of you cause I have seen the pics and commradere on here with all of you. Its not worth it, you arent gonna get rich fishing in Tournaments any way. Just my 2 cents worth. Take it or leave it no matter I will still be on here flingin with the rest of you guys and gals.
As far as voting i am not, but in same breath as far as FJ's i am not attending anymore. Everyone has a choice and i made mine to much BS i am here to fish and learn.

Thanks spiderwoman, even tho I sent you a PM for this post I felt it appropriate to comment on it pubically. Myself, Yikess, DonDon, Speck, and SatDoc are all trying to do the best job we can to make our FJ series fun and enjoyable for everyone. I haven't found any school or seminar that would prepare us to conduct these FJ's in a perfect way, but I'm still looking. Seriously, it's my first year, maybe the last year, to be the Tournament Director. I never asked for the job but I was gratified that so many of you wanted me to do it. When I'm presented with a challenge, I try my best to learn as quickly as I can and make the best decisions I can. The DQ of WB and the B's today was very sad to me. We all have been watching the B's grow up and we all kind of see them as ours. And WB, not a finer person anywhere. Period. Many mistakes were made this weekend concerning the FJ but Yikess decision to DQ WB and the B's was not one of them. MT, WB knew exactly where the weigh-in was, so did everyone else who fished it, so the change in weigh-in was NO FACTOR. FACT. I hope that I can appropriately answer the second and third hand information, much of which is just plain false. MT, I consider you a friend and hope not to effect that by posting pure facts on here. I sincerely hope we can move past this difficult episode and remain friends and that everyone else will come back. We are a great group of people, together.Quote:

That's what we are doing. Unfortunately I tried to do it in person at the weigh-in and was told "the rules are the rules". Now you have to remember, three or four other rules were bent today, but when it comes to disqualifying two kids, we're going to enforce that one.Quote:

Spiderchick, I know it's not personal. And I know I stir up alot of trouble. As Ron White said "God gave me the right to be silent, He just forgot to give me the ability". Every team there broke the law today by keeping their alive fish. Are we going to disqualify them and carry all of the money over to the championship. The law was broke by not getting a permit. And on and on. The bottom line is it comes down to judgement. And I don't think the proper judgement was exercised. If the scales had been put up when they arrived I would probably see it differently. If the grand poobah would have inquired why they were late before saying they were disqualified, I might see it differently.Quote:

Is this necessary.. We had people fishing for money, some standing and waiting at 3:01 knowing where they finished, only to have a boat show up late... I realize kids were involved and friends too but the bottom line is rules are rules and the decision was made based upon those rules... 1hr(60 minutes) was allotted for time to quit fishing and get to weigh-in.. We could've weighed in at Southaven Wal-mart in that amount of time.. The director made a decision according to tournament rules that benefitted 2nd and 3rd place.. Where's your argument?
