Last driving rainstorm at Nimrod, I was on the river. I took out my really cool, real lightweight, "Frog Tog" type rainsuit and kept fishing.
I might was well have been wearing cotton. I was drenched. Caught a few, though! :) I didn't go today, might be there Thursday.
I'm a fair time fisherman! I don't get tons of time to fish between hunting, work, and family duties but always go when I can not matter if it's 20 degrees or 100! Rain hasn't killed me yet!
I have had some really great trips in the rain
Wind bothers me more than rain heat or cold.

x5 about thewind
I like fair weather days, but will fish wind, rain, sleat or snow. I let bad winds and lightning run or keep me off the water.
Well guys most that fish with me know what '' Hardcore Verticle Jiggin Crappie '' means. I fish in blister'n heat , bitter cold ,snow , rain, and wind (if my trolling motor will hold and water does'nt wet my feet on the bow). My theory is fish everyday possiabe in any weather will make you the best . If you can catch limits in most any weather then you are a true fishermen. Always hearing shoulda been here yesterday or they ain't biting. Most days Crappie bite if you can hang in there reguardless of weather. Caught some of highest numbers of fish in the hottest and coldest days on the water.
The key for me is to enjoy my limited time on the water... I do not enjoy myself when its horribly windy, tornadic supercells are in the vicinity, hail larger than peas, or close excessive cloud to ground lightning... otherwise, bring on mother nature!
x6 and it seems like its calm all week and then on saturday (when i dont have to wrk) its windy and a front is pushing through!
Personally I like to fish, and I don't like rain. So with that in mind, I usually stay at home if its raining and play with the Mr. Catfish (son), and the wifey.
I catch enough fish on good days to not have to go on the bad days.
